Art Share L.A. Honors Community Heroes at 2025 Summer Block Party

Join Art Share LA for its biennial Summer Block Party, a free community festival celebrating creativity, culture, and connection in Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District. This year’s theme spotlights three remarkable individuals whose leadership and artistry have helped shape the cultural renaissance of the neighborhood.
2025 Legacy Award Honorees:
• Fabian Debora – Community artist and founder of Homeboy Art Academy, whose work and mentorship programs empower formerly incarcerated individuals.
• Man One – Acclaimed muralist and global cultural ambassador, recognized for his graffiti-to-gallery journey and cross-cultural impact.
• Miguel Vargas – Executive Director of the Arts District BID and a longtime community leader bridging old and new LA.
Festival highlights include live performances by The Paranoias, Kings Ether, Muki Brewster, DJ Vondawizard, and a special Grammy-nominated guest. Da Poetry Lounge will host spoken word sessions, with dance performances by Heidi Duckler Dance and short films curated by Take Your Medicine and Smile Productions.
Visual art programming spans three exhibitions:
• Ellsworth Artist Residency Exhibition in the Main Gallery
• Fuerza Reunida, curated by Fabian Debora, in the Perimeter Gallery
• A solo show by Pavel Acevedo in the Ellsworth Alumni Gallery
Outdoors, enjoy live painting by 8 local artists, 30+ artisan vendors, and a beer garden in partnership with Arts District Brewing.
