Long Beach Creative Group announces the opening of their new Long Beach Creative Group gallery. We are pleased to have received a Microgrant from Arts Council of Long Beach supporting our first exhibit, “Abstraction 4 Approaches” opening on Saturday, April 27,2019. We are located in District 2 within walking distance of Long Beach Museum of Art and Retro Row on 4th street. We are fortunate that Rod Briggs son, Cameron, has invited LBCG to re-envision and utilize this beautiful space. There are two exhibits: In the front salon gallery we will be featuring a rotating exhibit of the late Long Beach artist, Rodd Briggs, his realistic paintings of places in Long Beach that largely go unnoticed will interest our viewers. In the LBCG main gallery we are featuring 4 local well known artists who will provide a variety of creative interpretations of the style of abstraction.

WHO: LBCG is an innovative collaboration of artists who have advocated for art exhibit space in Long Beach for the past 4 years. Working in a range of artistic styles the LBCG’s stated mission is to call attention to the need for more exhibit space and opportunities for the many talented artists in Long Beach. We are excited that we have been given the opportunity to exhibit in this gallery space in 2019.
