What: GR Gallery is pleased to present “CHIMERA”, a group show featuring multiple generations of artists whose works investigate and advance the discourse around colors and patterns, optical illusion, abstract geometry and urban culture. The exhibition will feature recent works by three pioneering artists from France, Poland and Israel, including 1010, Agam and Nelio.
When: Opening reception: Thursday May 3rd, 6:00pm – 9:00pm (Exhibition Dates: May 3 – June 10, 2018) Members of the press can contact GR gallery in advance to schedule a private viewing and/or an interview with the artists. Artists will be attending the opening night.

Why: “CHIMERA” investigates the visual destabilization through the artistic output of three artists and their mastery of the line and the exploration of pure color and form to create mixed media artworks of intense vibrancy and life, out of the interaction of simple shapes and materials. The exhibition’s title refers to a visual illusive approach and also reflects and criticizes many aspects of contemporary society.
GR gallery: Founded in the mid-seventies in Venice, Italy, Studio d’Arte GR has been specializing in Op Art, Abstract Geomery and Urban Style since then and its New York branch continues its mission in the US.
