Los Angeles, CA – January 30, 2025 – ARCANE Space brings together ARTISTS for LOSS Angeles, a powerful benefit exhibition featuring over 40 established and emerging artists who have galvanized in support of their fellow creatives impacted by the recent fires. Opening on Friday, February 14 through March 2 the exhibition runs Thursday through Sunday for three consecutive weekends at ARCANE Space, with 100% of proceeds directly aiding artists who have lost their homes, studios, and artwork.

The fires have left a devastating mark on the artistic community, displacing creatives and destroying studios, archives and years of artistic efforts. In response, ARCANE Space has gathered an extraordinary roster of artists donating their work to help their peers rebuild. ARTISTS for LOSS Angeles is not only a fundraiser but also a testament to the resilience, generosity, and solidarity within Los Angeles’ creative community. Participants include LA ‘s notable artists Lita Albuquerque, Charles Arnoldi, Lauren Bon, Laddie John Dill, Lucas Reiner, along with many other established and exciting emerging artists.

Opening night on February 14, 6pm – 11pm will be a special evening of art, good will, and community.

“The devastating loss experienced by so many in our LA communities is beyond comprehensible, yet is very real. The need to support is essential” says Morleigh Steinberg, co-founder of ARCANE Space. “This benefit exhibition is a way to come together, support one another, and ensure that people can continue to create despite the challenges they face.”

All proceeds from purchases of original artworks go directly to Grief and Hope (griefandhopela.com) which aims to raise $1,000,000 in direct support to artists and art workers who have lost their homes or studios due to recent fires in the L.A. area. This initiative is organized by artists and arts professionals Kathryn Andrews, Andrea Bowers, Olivia Gauthier, Julia V. Hendrickson, and Ariel Pittman in partnership with the nonprofit art organization The Brick (formerly LAXART), who is the fiscal receiver of the funds for Grief and Hope. MORE…
