A Woman’s Perspective: Built To Be Seen
at Jarrow & Goodman Gallery
Los Angeles, CA — March 2026 — Los Angeles–based fine artist Donna Isham will debut her immersive installation Glass Between Us as part of A Woman’s Perspective: Built To Be Seen, the third iteration of the all-female exhibition series at Jarrow & Goodman Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA. The exhibition opens Saturday, March 7, 2026 and remains on view through April 11, 2026.
At the center of the installation is Donna Isham’s painting, which serves as the physical anchor for a layered visual experience. Through projection mapping and animation, light moves across the surface, activating the image and creating shifting illusions that blur the line between reality and perception. Created in collaboration with Grammy and Emmy award-winning, and Oscar-nominated composer and musician Mark Isham, Glass Between Us is a groundbreaking multi-sensory installation that merges painting, projection-mapped animation, and an original musical score. The work expands the traditional boundaries of painting, transforming the canvas into a living environment of light, movement, and sound.
Glass Between Us explores the fragile boundaries—emotional, physical, and invisible—that separate individuals from one another. Projected light becomes a metaphor for awakening and transformation, while sound evokes the unseen vibrations that connect all things. Together, these elements create an immersive environment where viewers are invited to step beyond the barriers that divide us and enter a shared, contemplative space of connection.
The installation’s sonic dimension is composed by Mark Isham, whose evocative score deepens the emotional resonance of the work. Blending traditional instruments with vintage and modern synthesizers, the music creates a richly textured soundscape that mirrors the unpredictable rhythms of life—alternately dissonant and harmonious.
Through the fusion of fine art, technology, and music, Glass Between Us transforms the traditional art-viewing experience into an enveloping sensory encounter. The work encourages reflection on the delicate balance between chaos and control, illusion and truth, and the invisible forces that shape human connection.
A Woman’s Perspective: Built To Be Seen brings together a dynamic group of contemporary female artists whose work explores themes of identity, presence, and visibility. The exhibition examines how women artists claim space and authorship in the contemporary art world, presenting powerful perspectives across a range of media and approaches.
Opening night on Saturday, March 7 will also feature a special live conversation with accomplished women from fashion, film, and entrepreneurship, sharing personal reflections on their paths, perspectives, and the power of being seen.
Music for the evening will be curated by DJ Liv (@djlivvv).
