LBCG Artist Group announces the opening of their 2nd exhibit at the Long Beach Creative Group gallery. We are pleased to have received a Port of Long Beach Sponsorship Grant for our new exhibit “7 Artists 7 Visions” opening on Saturday, July 27th 6-9pm. We are located in the 2nd District within walking distance of the Long Beach Museum of Art and Retro Row on 4th street space. There are two exhibits: In the front salon gallery we are featuring an exhibit of the late Long Beach artist, Rod Briggs, his realistic paintings are places in Long Beach that largely go unnoticed and will interest our viewers. In the LBCG main gallery we are featuring 7 Long Beach artists who will provide an eclectic variety of styles, each with their own unique and creative vision.
WHAT: LBCG gallery presents: “7 Artists 7 Visions” in the main gallery. The Rod Briggs Memorial gallery will showcase his unique perspective of Long Beach. This new exhibit continues our advocacy to provide more gallery space continuing to fulfill our mission to feature Long Beach artists in the gallery.

WHO: LBCG is an innovative collaboration of artists who have advocated for art exhibit space in Long Beach for the past 4 years. Working in a range of artistic styles the LBCG’s stated mission is to call attention to the need for more exhibit space and opportunities for the many talented artists in Long Beach. We are excited that we have been given the opportunity to exhibit in this gallery space in 2019.

Recent Exhibits/Press
The Long Beach Creative Group recently exhibited at their new LBCG/Rod Briggs Gallery in Long Beach from April 27th-June 8th, “Abstractions 4 Approaches”. Exhibiting in the Memorial gallery are Rod Briggs paintings, in the main gallery we featured 4 artists, Betsy Loher Hall, Katie Stubblefield, William Lane and Craig Antrum. We received a Microgrant from Art Council of Long Beach for our exhibit. The exhibit was reviewed in the following publications, Long Beach Post, Grunion Gazette, Press Telegram, Artillery magazine and CAKE review.
