co-LAb Gallery is pleased to announce the return of the $100 Show, a three day cash and carry exhibition featuring work by over 50 artists. The show will be on display from Friday, May 19th to Sunday, May 21st. An opening reception will be held Friday, May 19th from 7-10pm. This event is free and open to the public. The opening will mark the debut of a brand new mural on the exterior of co-LAb by artist Jillian Evelyn.
The show is indicative of co-LAb’s commitment to exhibiting work by local, emerging artists at an accessible price point. We at co-LAb believe that art is for everyone and we are bringing together a collection of artists with a variety of styles to ensure there is something to fit every taste. We will be showcasing over 250 pieces of work varying in style, color, and execution all on 8” x 8” wood panels. Unlike with our other shows, attendees will be able to take works home with them on the spot.
This is LA’s best way to start or build a collection of art from early-career artists. The artists included offer a glimpse at the contemporary art scene of Los Angeles, and the $100 price point allows patrons to take a piece of that home with them. We strive for accessibility and are excited to bring back the $100 Show to make that possible.
