Elliott Hundley

by | Jun 16, 2016

Elliott Hundley’s fourth exhibition at Regen Projects once again takes its narrative cue from literature, specifically Antonin Artaud’s play, There Is No More Firmament, also the title of his show. These mostly large-scale works possess a dynamism of movement, shape and form that are simultaneously chaotic and beautiful, dystopian yet elegant. Despite the fact these collaged tableaux pulsate with movement, an underlying content of nihilism and isolation pervades. This is not necessarily a bad thing as these works are a clear reflection of today’s fractious world. To coincide with the exhibition, there will be a staged reading of Artaud’s play this Saturday, June 18, that is not to be missed!
