It’s good to know artists are constantly thinking, cogitating, peeling the proverbial cultural onion, to transform our human experience into a charged and luminous imaginative landscape. Such is the case at Jaus Gallery this month where Clayton Campbell has asked a group of artists to project what art making might look like in years to come. Artists like Joe Biel, Terrence Sanders and Max Presneill, showcase a future rife with revolutionary and poetic impulses alternately, where, as Presneill articulates, artists must “band together as a separate ‘art world’ from the commercial aspect to ensure works get shown.” This is not just revolutionary, but absolutely necessary, not then, but now!
