We are excited to present “Through the Looking Glass: The Colored Pencil Drawings of Elizabeth Patterson” at CK Contemporary. Patterson’s intricate drawings capture the view through rainy car windshields and straddle the line between abstraction and realism. Her seamless technique allows the viewer to immerse themselves in her imagery and contemplate the nuance of her unique observations of the natural world. Within the 18 works featured in this exhibition Patterson captures scenes from around the world, from the green San Francisco Presidio to the glowing Eiffel Tower in Paris. Much like Alice confronts the fantastic disorder of Wonderland, Elizabeth Patterson embraces the abstract and beautiful world created by rain on a window, and beckons us in. The show can be viewed online, or in person at CK Contemporary. We’re open 10am-5pm seven days a week.
