An experimental performance by Anna Ialeggio and Robyn O’Dell. Triangulating between dance, theater, clowning, and ecology (ex: a video of Isabella Rossellini’s head simulating sex with a duck puppet, not as a video providing information about the sexual practices of ducks, but as something that actually happened to her head), the performers explore the potentiality of transpecies connection through a tragi-fantastical narrative of scientist-to-bird bonding. It is inspired by a true story: “Tex,” the crane protagonist, enters into a long-term kinship with middle-aged “George” — an ornithologist committed to preserving her unique genetic line.
