Christie’s Los Angeles Gallery newest collections that will be on view from February 11th – 16th for Frieze Week LA! The viewing includes the collection of singer and songwriter, George Michael, along with Post – War Contemporary Art Pieces.

George Michael’s private art collection is made up of popular British contemporary artists such as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Michael Craig-Martin, and Marc Quinn, that were also his personal friends. Key works of the tour include Tracey Emin, Drunk to the Bottom of my Soul; Damien Hirst, The Incomplete Truth; Bridget Riley, Songbird; and Michael Craig – Martin, Commissioned Portrait Untitled. The pieces will go on sale in London on March 14th with proceeds going to continue George Michael’s philanthropic work.

Andy Warhol, George Condo, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami will all be on the walls with additional artists such as Josef Albers, William Nelson Copley, and Tomoo Gokita. Andy Warhol’s Diamond Dust Shoe will be on display (below). The lot features diamond dust on the canvas and is a callback to the beginning of Warhol’s career when the artist was a commercial fashion illustrator in 1950s New York.
