C Gallery on Broadway presents ‘A View through the Lens’, an interactive exhibition featuring the abstract paintings of Chris Shouse, opening reception on January 12th, 5 – 8:00 pm. Come Vote! Chris asks for your help by casting your vote on the final painting with the results shared at the exhibit’s closing reception.

Chris Shouse. “Growing up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I have an attachment to nature and our role in it. I look towards natural objects when searching for flow and beauty. Even during my time deployed as a soldier in the United States Army, I found myself often inspecting things around me, more marveled than afraid. My abstract art marries the influences of my past experiences with my current interests and passions. I believe each work to be a composition viewed through a lens”.

The figurative sculptures of local artist, Susan Erikson Hawkins will complement the exhibit and jazz guitarist, Frank Potenza will provide musical accompaniment.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit USA Veterans through ‘Rock for Vets’ and the Gallery will host special events throughout the exhibit.
