Mexican independent publisher Gato Negro takes over the Davis Courtyard for an afternoon of talks, readings, book launches, music and more. Peruse and purchase titles from a number of publishers and book stores including Other Books (Boyle Heights, CA), Gato Negro Ediciones (Mexico City), La Casa de El Hijo del Ahuizote (Mexico City), and more.

1pm | Panel Discussion: Disobedient Printers: Radical Publishing in México
In conjunction with ‘South of No North: Gato Negro Ediciones’ at the Fowler and ‘Regeneración: Three Generations of Revolutionary Ideology’ at the Vincent Price Art Museum, the Fowler will host a panel on contemporary radical publishing in México. Participants include León Muñoz Santini, founder of Gato Negro Ediciones, and Diego Flores Magón, director of La Casa de El Hijo del Ahuizote. Moderated by Sebastian Clough, exhibition curator and Fowler Director of Exhibitions.

This daylong program at the Fowler is produced in conjunction with the Vincent Price Art Museum, whose exhibition ‘Regeneración: Three Generations of Revolutionary Ideology,’ opens September 29.
