An artist’s career begins at a single point in time, a moment of culminated creativity into a pencil headed point of reality existence. That point is Saturday night in El Segundo. Joe Brovsky will be showcasing his illuminating pieces of collage work from 6pm to 11pm at Unita on Arena street, smack dab in the middle of the art walk. His pieces highlight the reality and cost behind the ideal world by conjuring up a twisted yet beautiful alternate reality in which he displays in his postcard series. The ‘Wish You Were Here’ series carefully exploits the American Dream’s waste, brutality, and gluttony through beautiful collage work of vintage magazines upon vintage prints.
