Come celebrate the second installment of “Be Not Still: Living in Uncertain Times.” Presented in two parts, Be Not Still is a year-long, institution-wide exhibition addressing concerns of the contemporary moment.Part 2 debuts new projects by Bay Area artists Victor Cartagena, Ranu Mukherjee, Lava Thomas, and Lexa Walsh, each responding to the evolving social and political climate through a topic of their choice.
The celebration will feature a performance by Thrive Choir, a diverse group of vocalists, artists, activists, educators, healers, and community organizers who come together to perform on stages and marches across the state. The choir performance is presented in conjunction with Lava Thomas’s installation “Resistance Reverb, Movement 1” (2018).
