Aesthetic query is captivated by shadows, by shades, by myths, and grounded in reality. Since the dawn of time artists have managed to captivate ethereal motion, they transcend it, play with it, pause it, and hold it still for the viewer to witness.
In the process of creating, an impulse pushes aesthetic query to the bounds of the unknown. It follows a labyrinthic discovery for truth that’s rarely witnessed by anything other than the artist’s own shadow. Be it at dance or play, at labor, at uncertainty, or at the zenith of clarity, that instance of obscurity in which light becomes absent is, in fact, the first witness to every aesthetic question.
Shadows, shades, motion, dance, play, stillness, color, and form, all intricately manifested within this exhibition, converge to bring forth timeless aesthetic queries, of beauty, light, heartbreaking realities, urban landscape, and heritage, thus serving to investigate the possibility of calling the material to life.
