The Museum of Art is pleased to present Aquarius 2018, the annual exhibition of California watercolors organized by the Central Coast Watercolor Society. This year’s juror, Michael Reardon, selected 40 paintings that display a wide range of watercolor techniques and subject matter. Along with the paintings juried into the exhibition, several paintings by Mr. Reardon will be on display.
“Jurying an art exhibition is always a challenge, as was the case with Aquarius 2018. Narrowing an exhibition to forty pieces means that many worthy paintings cannot be selected. Nonetheless, it also means that those that are chosen demonstrate exceptional work… I believe these forty paintings form a very strong ensemble, showing some of the finest of what watercolor can offer,” said Juror, Michael Reardon.
