YA! Project Space presents Between Earth and Sky: Nuraghe Piscu, Sardinia, an exhibition by American artist Elizabeth Yochim and Italian photographer Domenico Cortese — marking Cortese’s first exhibition in the United States. Developed from research at Nuraghe Piscu, a Bronze Age Nuragic stone monument in central Sardinia, the show combines photography, installation, live multimedia performance, sound, and video to explore how ancient landscapes shape memory, ritual, and cultural identity. Yochim’s embodied performances — walking, listening, stillness, ritual — are documented in Cortese’s photographs of the ancient site, creating an immersive dialogue between contemporary art, archaeology, and ritual practice.
Opening Reception: Saturday, August 15, 7:30–9:30 PM, with a live multimedia performance by Elizabeth Yochim at 8:30 PM.
YA! Conversations: Sunday, August 16, 11:00 AM–12:15 PM — an artist talk with Yochim and Cortese, livestreamed to Italy, followed by audience Q&A and an informal gathering.
