Tell us about yourself

I explore reclaiming personal and collective agency in a world that erodes it, often through sculpture and light. Lately, I’vebeen returning to painting and collage and trying ceramics to loosenconstraints and follow what emerges—from reclaimeddesire to intuitions still forming.

Top 3 songs?

“Azotea”—Luisa Almaguer, “Funnel of Love”—Wanda Jackson, “New Beginning”—Automatic.

Louise Bourgeois, Rutha Asawa, and Luise Nevelson.

Top 3 drinks?

Natural spring water, ½ shot decaf latte with oat milk, and Rooibos latte with homemade hemp milk sweetened with dates.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Pouring everything I had (and didn’t have) into a lighting project during a precarious year.

Why are you here?

I’m here to remind myself and those around me that we’re always becoming, moment to moment—and that we can chooseto orient toward what expands rather than constricts our capacity to act, letting that become the light throughany darkness.

Most valuable lesson you didn’t learn in art school?

That living itself is a dynamic, creative act—one that needs to be cultivated just as intentionally as art-making.
