LAMP SHOW
November 7–14, 2025
6135 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles
Wilshire Online
Opening Night: November 7, 7–11 PM
Curated by Joseph Santiago-Dieppa & Eli Bucksbaum
Lamp Show inhabits a 13,000-square-foot office building on Wilshire Boulevard, next to
LACMA, currently transforming into yet another workspace called Wilshire Online. Across three empty floors, lamps glow like survivors or ghosts—private light in a public void. A desk lamp in an empty room. A bedside light in a conference space. Each tries to make a “place,” but can’t.
Each show is an experiment—never precious, always in flux.
We work with Los Angeles in its natural state—perpetually unfinished and between lives. Lamp Show works with the structure of transformation itself, turning the building’s liminal moment into an immersive investigation. It reflects that unfinished rhythm, revealing the architecture of absence: the late-stage capitalist cathedral, the ruin of the office, the residue of work.
Light here doesn’t banish emptiness; it exposes it.
Each lamp is made in LA by Los Angeles artists and designers. AUTOBODY autobody is steadfast in its support of local ideas and the people who carry them.
