
Glendale Arts presents Arlene Vidor Photography at ace/121 Gallery in Glendale, CA, a solo show from photographer, urban explorer, preservation advocate, and civic arts leader Arlene Vidor that transforms architecture and digital debris into digital photo collages. Arlene Vidor is a photographer, civic leader, and passionate advocate for the arts and historic preservation. Her creative practice centers on digital photo collage and photography inspired by architecture, urban landscapes, and the visual poetry of Los Angeles and beyond. Vidor is currently serving her third term on the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission and she sits on the Board of the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association and also is on The Glendale Historical Society’s Advisory Council. She is President Emerita of the Brand Associates, where she has coordinated the long-running REEL ART Film Series, and previously served on the Glendale Historic Preservation Commission, successfully nominating several city-owned landmarks to the Glendale Register of Historic Resources. Arlene received both The Glendale Historical Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award and their Zelia Blanton Preservation Award and she enjoys exploring the intersection of art, history and architectural preservation.
