Join us for an intimate candlelight concert amidst the elemental sculptures and clay offerings of the art exhibition Nüwa’s Garden: A Summer Offering in Clay, Fire, and Water. This special evening features the Femini Ensemble—three extraordinary women artists whose music echoes the mythic gestures of the goddess Nüwa, who once mended the broken sky with stone and flame.
Artists:
🕊 Xiaoling “Shirley” Wang (@shirleywangsoprano) — Soprano
Award-winning Taiwanese-American soprano and Carnegie Hall soloist. A dynamic force in opera and storytelling concerts across the U.S., she brings myth and emotion to life through the power of voice.
🎻 Peijun “June” Xu — Viola
Acclaimed violist, educator, and arts advocate. Founder of MAP International Music Competition and recent recipient of The American Prize in Strings. Her playing carries depth, clarity, and a passion for cultural connection.
🎹 Yin “Apple” Lin — Piano
Globally celebrated collaborative pianist and artistic director of MAP. A musical bridge between continents, her touch brings warmth and structure to the ensemble—fluid as water, grounded as earth.
The Moon bathes the audience in themes of maternal care, loss, rebirth, and imagination—echoing the exhibition’s tribute to feminine creation, elemental ritual, and mythic memory.
