ModA Curations is pleased to announce its second exhibition of 2024, Hidden Narratives, hosted by Wonzimer Gallery and curated by Sia Fang, with production coordination by Irene Ashu of Studio93. This group exhibition explores untold stories from the lives of presenting artists, piecing together feelings of indescribable humanity and making with their transferences and inheritances. The seven contemporary artists exhibited in this show come from a myriad of backgrounds. Their work aims to speak not only to their own experiences, but also to shared, human sentiments, connecting artist and audience through time and place.
Crucial narratives escape the archives. Through this exhibition, ModA uses ethnographic inquiry to explore the ways in which stories told through contemporary art reveal our humanity. Hidden Narratives will be on view at Wonzimer Gallery in downtown Los Angeles from October 22 – October 26, 2024, with an opening reception on October 22nd from 6-9 pm (RSVP here). Programming highlights include a workshop for press and institutional audiences on “The ModA Concept” on October 23rd and an Anthropology in Art workshop on October 24th.
