Join us at Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) for a Closing Reception celebrating ‘UPEND Female Experience and Activism’ and ‘Displacing Structures,’ followed by an Artist Talk with the curator and artists of UPEND.
This will be the final opportunity to view the exhibitions. Refreshments will be provided for the Closing Reception from 1pm to 3pm, and the Artist Talk will begin at 3pm.
In UPEND, curated by AGCC Director of Exhibitions Cecelia Koger, contemporary feminist issues are explored through the lens of radical empathy for the female experience.
Guest curated by Fafnir Adamites, Displacing Structures expands upon traditional fiber techniques to reveal and embrace the personal, queer bodies, and the tensions between structure and aberration.
