This is the story of west coast street & club dance, music, and culture showcased by No Easy Props dancers, narrated by a young girl growing up in LA watching Soul Train, the Jacksons and New Edition. From Locking and the Funky Robot, Hip-Hop came Pop-locking and Breaking, ushering in the new school trendy days. Now all grown up, she pays homage to the past to embrace her future as MC.

The mission of The West Coast Funk & Soul Series is to document and preserve the history of street dance in the West Coast through a collection of short films featuring West Coast street dance luminaries that pay homage to the history of funk n soul dance styles from the West Coast through the lens of people who contributed to them, lived them, and witnessed them, as well as professional dance training by West Coast legends, panel discussions, and live events that spotlight and showcase the style and flavor of the west coast culture.
No Easy Props is a 501c nonprofit Hip-Hop arts organization that offers Hip-Hop cultural immersive experiences, education, and training for proactive youth development, BIPOC equity and community wellbeing.
