This month, the artistic and design sphere in Los Angeles is welcomed to experience a
selection of works by French artist Aude Herlédan at Una Casa Privada, a prestigious private
home showroom curated by Una Malan, located in the scenic Hollywood Hills. The showcase
will take place during Legends 2024 timeframe, La Cienega Design Quarter’s annual
showcase featuring three days of expert panels and showroom events.
Born in Paris in 1966 and raised in Congo during her childhood, Aude Herlédan embarked on
her journey of artistic exploration after encounters in London and New York, winning the
Parsons School competition in 1989. Her professional path continued with residencies in
Brazil and Kenya, where she collaborated with the United Nations and founded a
photographic laboratory for Kenyan journalists. Returning to Paris in 1992, she balanced a
career in advertising with studies at École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris and École du
Louvre.
Aude’s artistic manifestation, unfolded through her mesmerizing paintings and sculptures,
draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of influences, ranging from the raw beauty of nature to
the profound emotions evoked by life’s encounters.
For Legends 2024, Una Malan’s latest curated selection of furniture and design pieces will
provide the perfect backdrop, fostering a harmonious dialogue between Una Casa Privada
and Herlédan’s artworks. Together, this exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a
world of beauty and lyrical abstraction, celebrating the powerful alliance of design and
artistic expression.
