LOS ANGELES, Calif., December 21, 2023 – In collaboration with the California Art League, Small Things, opening at The Artists Gallery on January 10, 2024 will feature artworks from 28 regional artists. Curated by fine art photographer Eric M. Renard and sculptor Ken Ronney, the exhibition will showcase original artworks at TAG’s Miracle Mile gallery space. An additional 50 artworks will complete the online exhibition, presented by the California Art League. Once live, the full collection can be viewed here.
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together,” stated master painter, Vincent Van Gogh. This philosophy was deeply pondered during the curation process of this exhibition.
Selected artworks demonstrate the details that are often overlooked. Ornate brushstrokes, shadow, highlight, texture, color and composition are emphasized elements throughout the exhibition.
On Saturday, January 13, from 5 to 9PM, the community and media are invited to a reception celebrating the exhibition. Attendees will be able view the gallery, meet participating artists, enjoy wine and refreshments, and discuss the state of contemporary art in Los Angeles, and around the world. The event is free & open to the community.
