WHO:
Rhonda Burton’s botanical collages and monoprints, inspired by the aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, play with the soft, organic and graceful edges of leaves paired with the geometric and hard edges of materials like plastic, collaged – constructed and deconstructed elements – marrying her visual languages as both a photographer and a mixed media artist.
Liliana D’Ambrosio’s paintings do not necessarily have a concluded character but rather are a consistent state of change. She explores the abstract language of the character of painting in relation to the language of music.
Karen Fiorito’s prints reflect a shift in her creative practice – a movement towards play over perfection. She is moved by the notion of beauty in decay and imperfection, celebrated by the traditions of Wabi-sabi, Karen has employed simplistic modes of printmaking and cyanotype process as a meditation on and celebration of the unpredictable.
Emil Rutenberg’s sculpture is human in spirit – a language that feels classical and contemporary all at once. His figurative work depicts subjects that are nuanced in expression, organic in form, contemplative and vital, vulnerable and strong.
Gina’s Leon-Gutierrez’s painting is a blend of abstraction and expressionism. “Connecting the Dots” a series of100 interconnected pieces, is a contemplation on both connection and memory- the delicate little fibers that bridge together, people, places and things.
