LA TATE GALLERY is pleased to present Relational Chemistry: Deconstructing Urban Experiences, a solo exhibition featuring artist Michael Gorman with an opening reception on Saturday, September 9, 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. We are located at 4816 W. Adams Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016.
Relational chemistry: deconstruction urban experiences combines the concepts of examining interactions between individuals in urban environments and analyzing the elements that shape these experiences. It explores how dynamics within cities are influenced by social structures, cultural norms, and physical environments, impacting relationships and community.
Michael Gorman, a renegade painter, captures the essence of Post-War American culture. His paintings balance chaos and archetypes, embodying the mythic artist. Raised in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, Gorman’s work draws from Western landscapes and pop culture psychology. His electrifying paintings connect to American art history, blending rebellion with a tender vulnerability.
