Billis Williams Gallery is pleased to present THE CITYSCAPE SHOW XIII: Close to Home opening August 5th. The show features twenty-four gallery and guest artists and includes painting and sculpture. The show runs through August 26th.
For the last thirteen years, the gallery has presented The Cityscape Show – each edition has taken a different angle or theme and has covered a wide ranging group of artists and works.
Los Angeles is a many-faceted and intensely complicated monster of a place: some love it, others love to hate it, but for many it is the place we call home. The Cityscape Show this year is about artists depicting what says “home” to them about Los Angeles. For some it is home and they are capturing some aspect of this city that speaks to them – for others it is about what feels familiar about this sprawling metropolis.
The show includes works by Patricia Chidlaw, Matt Condron, Francis DiFronzo, Emile Dillon, Elyse Dodge, Carla Falb, Sharon Feder, Lisa Golightly, Bradley Hankey, Kenny Harris, Danny Heller, Wes Hempel, Justin N. Kim, Mary-Austin Klein, Terry Leness, Raymond Logan, Mela M., Ana Medina, Christopher Murphy, Judy Nimtz, Christine Rasmussen, Gay Summer Rick, Ben Schwab, Emily Wallerstein, Lindsey Warren, Kevin Yaun
