Experience a “Bi-Lingering” conversation and workshop with artist Labkhand Olfatmanesh alongside the installation of the project at the “Rehoming Instincts” exhibit. Created in collaboration with Gazelle Samizay, “Bi-Lingering” invites bilingual individuals, regardless of proficiency, to share their experiences of self-expression through the act of writing a letter addressed to “Dear Bi-Lingering.” As a token of appreciation, participants will receive a limited edition art card from the artists’ project, “Woven.” “Bi-Lingering” serves as an expansion of “Woven,” drawing upon Labkhand and Gazelle’s backgrounds as Iranian and Afghan women to explore how cultural expectations and memory transcend borders.
