Curatorial text:
A dialogue. An invisible bond between an artwork and the onlooker. A bridge between tow different souls. A bridge that overcomes the illusion of Space & Time. A magic realm where only interpretation is important.
Begonia Lafuente has that gift. She bends and permeates time and makes her work stand along by its meaning. It becomes a conversation between her creation and the observer. Each form she creates, in the words of Borges, becomes all forms, the ones from the past, the present and the future. Her subtle use of color and silhouettes makes her work thought provoking and alluring. It fills us with an understanding of the human condition by the mere act of looking into an eternal mirror.
To stand in front of her work is to step into the commonality that we all share beyond everything, our humanity.
Texto Curatorial:
Un diálogo. Un vínculo invisible entre una obra de arte y el espectador. Un puente entre dos almas diferentes. Un puente que supera la ilusión de espacio y tiempo. Un reino mágico donde solo importa la interpretación.
Begoña Lafuente tiene ese don. Dobla y permea el tiempo y hace que su obra se sostenga por su sentido. Se convierte en una conversación entre su creación y el observador. Cada forma que crea, en palabras de Borges, se convierte en todas las formas, las del pasado, las del presente y las del futuro. Su uso sutil del color y las siluetas hace que su trabajo sea estimulante y atractivo. Nos llena de una comprensión de la condición humana por el mero hecho de mirarnos en un espejo eterno.
Pararse frente a su trabajo es entrar en la comunidad que todos compartimos más allá de todo, nuestra humanidad.
