Join us on July 12 to explore the science behind the LIGHT installation in this hands on workshop for youth ages 9 – 12.
Have you ever wondered why the sky looks blue, why a banana looks yellow, or why it’s hard to see colors in the dark? In this workshop, we will explore how LIGHT interacts with our eyes, brains, and surroundings to shape how we perceive color. After engaging with the LIGHT installation, participants will conduct a series of experiments to deepen their understanding of color perception. Then, they will create an op-art piece that explores how optical illusions can trick our brains into seeing shapes, colors, or movements that aren’t really there. When it comes to seeing color, there really is more than meets the eye!
This workshop is FREE for youth ages 9 – 12. Registration is required.
