The 9th Annual Fine Arts Film Festival (FAFF), presented by Venice Institute of Contemporary Art, kicks off Friday, June 10 at 7:30PM with a weekend of in-person screenings at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice. Opening night is capped by a free 9:30PM screening of the new, fully-restored 4K version of the sci-fi classic “Invaders From Mars,” director William Cameron Menzies’ influential 1953 film. Priority goes to Friday night ticket-holders – for everyone else, it’s free and first come, first served.
In addition to in-person programs June 10-11, FAFF is offering nine curated series of films online, each running an average of seven hours. They will be available via Vimeo from June 10-19. A festival pass for all online films is available.

Overall, this year FAFF will present more than 100 selections from 32 countries. More than half of the films were directed or produced by women, and POC directed almost one-third. The festival is dedicated to presenting the finest new films about how art is made, how artists survive, how they think and work, and what makes creativity our most important skill, and our best hope for mankind.
