The UCLA Department of Design Media Arts is excited to announce the inaugural DMA Annual Exhibition: Poetic Realities. Following the rupture(s) and (dis)ruption of the past few years, the DMA Annual Exhibition was conceived as a new annual exhibition and alumni gathering to celebrate the dynamic works and singular artists that have emerged from the UCLA Department of Design Media Arts. This exhibition brings together the work of 10 emerging new media artists working across immersive 3D, video, sculpture and sound. The exhibition features new works by Emma Akmakdjian, Carrie Chen, Jodi Cheung, Don Edler, Leslie Foster, Berit Gilma, Yuchi Ma, Harvest Moon, Iman Person and Isaac Ruder. This year the DMA Annual exhibition is organized by Lauren Lee McCarthy.
Please join us for the opening reception on Thursday, May 12th, 5-8PM at the UCLA New Wight Gallery. The exhibition will be on view through May 26th with a special closing reception and artist walkthroughs on Saturday, May 21. The exhibition will be open Monday-Friday, 10AM-5PM.
