WALK WITH ME
Join us for the ‘Walk With Me’ art show, celebrating pieces created by LA based artists, Samantha Jones and Moyra Pickup. These female artists will be showcasing paintings created as an expression of themselves and how they’ve navigated through the pandemic and life’s challenges. Hosted at the Flying Embers Taproom in the Arts District and sponsored by U Start Here, a non profit for sexual assault survivors, will be a night to celebrate strength and empowerment. This will be a free, 21+ event.

MOYRA PICKUP
Moyra’s art is an inspiring modern blend of surrealism and expressionism and celebrates the potent nuances of the female body. Her work often uses an eclectic range geometry and a vivid color spectrum to emphasize or separate femininity from the world around it. As a self taught artist she uses herself as a reference in creating her acrylic paintings, sometimes using her own body as the paint brush.

SAMANTHA JONES
With a background in textile design and fashion illustration, Samantha now focuses on mixed media arts. She draws from color psychology and emotional interaction to explore inspiration in her abstract paintings. Using a layered was process with added textures she creates movement and conversation within her work. She often expresses whimsical notions of abstraction through a mix of bold and muted tones, mark making, oil pastels and acrylics.
