Pasadena Symphony presents: Baroque Brandenburg 5
Gabriella Smith’s music is “high-voltage and wildly imaginative” (Philadelphia Inquirer), and “ the coolest, most exciting, most inventive new voice I’ve heard in ages” (Musical America). She wrote Brandenburg Interstices as a companion piece for Bach’s 5th Brandenburg Concerto, honoring the Baroque style while interweaving modern minimalism, blues and American folk music.
