The installation IF WE CAN’T FIX IT, IT AIN’T BUSTED is a collection of objects from the 20th century life of longtime cameraman/craftsman, Arthur Gerstle. The installation offers us an opportunity to re-connect and reflect upon the spirit of engaged know-how, to solve, to fix and do – a time before the culture of disposable, replaceable, built-in obsolescence took hold. It is a testament to an almost bygone era, before our digital age, a way of being, in contact with beautiful tools, cameras, film equipment, photos from the golden age of Hollywood, and with hand made objects and machines that we could author or restore ourselves. It is a time capsule transporting us back to a life lived well in the 20th Century. Please visit arcanespacela.com or arcane.space for more info. 11-5pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday by appt. only.
