Please join us for an evening concert performance of classical ragas with Paul Livingstone (sitar) and Neelamjit Dhillon (tabla) on the occasion of Dani Tull’s exhibition of paintings Take a single letter from the stream.
Paul Livingstone is one of the few American disciples of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar. He has since toured as a performer around South Asia, Europe, and Latin America, developing a reputation as a serious proponent of the North Indian raga music. Paul leads the Arohi Ensemble and performs regularly as a classical sitarist. He is also the founder of the Soul Force Project, an ongoing performance vehicle combining live music and with a message of nonviolent change-making.
Neelamjit Dhillon has played tabla since the age of 10 and continues to study the instrument under the tutelage of world-renowned maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain. His music is a reflection of his own multifaceted identity, spirituality, and vision for promoting a more equitable and just society through shared experience and collective action.
