On Tuesday, February 14th, Library Street Collective will be hosting a book signing event with Friedman from 6-8 pm in honor of the release of his first-ever monograph Light, which was produced on the occasion of the artist’s exhibition Light at Library Street Collective (February 27 – April 3, 2021) curated by one of his greatest contemporary influences and mentor, Brian Donnelly (KAWS).
The publication will be released on February 11th, and includes a foreword written by Library Street Collective founder and partner Anthony Curis, essays by Library Street Collective Senior Director Sara Nickleson, friends and collaborators Dan Santoro, Ned Vena, and Sue Kwon, a poem written by Nicolas Atkins, and a conversation between Friedman and lifelong friend and fellow artist Josh Sperling. In addition to the regular run, a limited quantity of special edition copies that include a limited edition screenprint by Friedman will be available.
