Back Stage Collective returns with for their final holiday showcase of the year, “Back Stage 5”. On Saturday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m., witness a variety of local music performed live with genres ranging from indie, alternative, rap, electronic and more at AM Place in Sun Valley. Attendees are also encouraged to visit the Back Stage Vendor Village to meet activists and artists making a difference in the community and learn more about their work.
“This is not your average holiday show,” said Back Stage Collective founder Brando Mayorga. “We always welcome any and all art forms to give exposure, experience and networking for both performers and audience members alike. We have an eclectic lineup of innovative and talented performers who are pumped to show their music to a new audience.”
Back Stage Collective welcomes all styles of art and encourages collaboration among performers to create productions completely unique to the individual. From intimate acoustic sets, to avant-garde performance art that leaves audience members on the edge of their seat, this event showcases every style of performance you can imagine… and can’t.
“I decided to perform at Back Stage because I thought it would be an excellent event to showcase my work” said Back Stage performer Jose Medrano Velazquez, known by stage name, Lost Angeles. “I’m excited to make friends and connections and also just watch other cool performances from other local artists.”
Along with great performances, Back Stage also aims to create a supportive community of artists and musicians by collaborating with other organizations, like fellow art collective Otto’s Space Grotto. Back Stage 5 will feature a Vendor Village with info booths and pop-up shops for local artists and activists to share their artwork, zines as well as talk about their causes.
