Variegated Visions is a collection of original work by Seattle artist Ten Hundred. It explores the beautiful and mysterious goings-on of another world. His collection mashes up comic book, anime, and pop surrealism influences brought to life in delicious tropical colors.

The opening night reception takes place Saturday, March 25 from 7-11pm. Also opening are exhibitions by Essi Zimm and Konecki. The event is free and open to the public. DJ Jonathan Williams spinning. Sponsored by Original New York Seltzer. Street parking or $8 at 3001 Beverly Blvd or Uber/Lyft. Gabba Gallery is located at 3126 Beverly Blvd.

Normal gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday noon-3pm and by appointment. On view through April 15.

essizimmSMALL Ten Hundred: Variegated Visions

Happenstance showcases new work by mixed media artist Essi Zimm who was recently featured in New American Painting. Zimm draws inspiration from mythology, this time focusing on imagery related to constellations and the skies. A roaring lion, a leaping unicorn, a majestic peacock, thick forests of “Candy Trees” and more are rendered in her signature blend of richly textured collage, oil paint, bold patterns, and a vibrant color palette.

koneckiSMALL Ten Hundred: Variegated Visions

In Apathesis, San Diego based artist Konecki explores social apathy in the current intense political climate. Through a variety of media including painting and sculpture, he turns his irreverent gaze on the ideas of fear in politics, media oversaturation, and celebrity exposing the various effects on individuals and society as a whole.
