Challenging its membership is nothing new for The Painters Group (TPG), one of the Central Coast’s largest and most active artists group and an affiliate of the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA). TPG’s most recent challenge was issued when the group’s leadership announced Fragments as the title and theme of TPG’s next exhibition at SLOMA on October 6, 2017 through November 26, 2017.
Juror Margaret Korisheli, well known artist and art teacher at Cuesta College since 1991, was given the responsibility to select the artwork to be exhibited from the submitted entries. Ms. Korisheli also will be selecting the three Juror Award winners before the exhibition opens on the first Friday in October, in conjunction with Art After Dark.
