Artist and photographer Gili Levinson will be exhibiting her new series Fully Grown Children, August 9th through August 20th at The StoreFront Project in NYC. Fully Grown Children is a collection of photographic works exploring the concept of sexuality imprinted in our minds during childhood.
Levinson’s work examines sentiments which are universal yet taboo in context. In displaying her work, the artist is not only channeling strong responses but also giving consent to a topic that is often evaded. One can expect photographs of both female and male genitalia adorned with cartoon images, small toys and glitter (for instance).
Because of the sexual nature of Levinson’s work, here is a link to a few images included at the exhibition (may be NSFW): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8KR8zTf49V3M3pUVV9oVTVVU0U
This body of work emphasizes appreciation for our world of diverse, equal, and beautiful humans and lingering respect for our bodies, our temples.
